Born and raised in Alabama, Ricky landed in Plumtree, NC to serve at TVR Christian Camp in 2004. During his first summer there, he met his lovely wife, April. They were married in the summer of 2005 and have five kids: Hudson ('08), Ellis ('11), Olson ('13), Carey ('15), and Anderson ('17). After serving 10 years at TVR, Ricky felt the Lord was leading him to serve in church ministry. The Lord led him to Grace in April of 2014.
Ricky loves spending time with family and his home is normally loud and crazy, with almost always either music or an Atlanta Braves game playing on the radio. He enjoys a good pizza, following the Atlanta Braves, listening to good music, and all things Apple. Ricky is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Children's Ministry Director
Before serving in part-time ministry, Keisha was a teacher by profession. She taught third and fourth graders in public school for four years and has two years experience as a teacher of three year olds and transitional kindergarten in preschool programs.Keisha wanted to teach since she was a first grader. She continues to be thrilled to see just how much children can grasp, even at young ages, about God and His Word. Keisha began overseeing the Children’s Church program here as a volunteer in 2004. She came on as part-time staff in January 2008. She is very excited to minister to children and serve alongside many other adults who enjoy teaching children about Jesus' love for them!
Keisha and her husband, Scott, were married in 1996 and moved to make their home in Fuquay-Varina in 1997. They became members of Grace Community Church in 2001. Scott shares a love for teaching and shepherding this church body as an elder at Grace. They have three beautiful children-- Kaitlyn ('01), Greyson ('04) and Landon ('06). Keisha wants her children, as well as all children here at Grace, to grow up knowing that God has a perfect plan for their lives. There is no better hope and nothing brings her more joy!
