Discipleship groups are for those who desire to explore and grow in the basics of Christian living.

The mission of Grace Discipleship Groups is to provide an atmosphere for each participant to experience belonging through engaging in authentic relationships, engage honestly in asking questions about Christianity and the Christian life, and explore God's Word through study and application.

The vision for Grace Discipleship Groups is to provide an environment for facilitating spiritual growth, supported with relational growth, for the purpose of Kingdom growth, so that each participant, whether curious, a new Christian, or seasoned Christian, can be guided in knowing Jesus, living for Jesus, and telling others about Jesus. Grace Discipleship Groups will:

  • Contain one discipler (leader)
  • Consist of 3-5 adults (post high school) of the same gender
  • Commit to meeting approximately 13 times over a period of four months at a time and location agreed upon by the group

Grace Discipleship Group participants commit to: 

  • Be present 
  • Be prepared 
  • Be perceptive 

For this inaugural fall semester of Grace Discipleship Groups, only one track is being offered. Groups will be going through Tim Chester's book, Life with Jesus: A Discipleship Course for Every Christian [video]. See the contents below.

  • PART TWO: A Changed Perspective
    4. Obedience: Jesus Gives Us a New View of God 
    5. United: Jesus Gives Us a New Power for Life 
    6. Suffering: Jesus Gives Us a New Hope for the Future
  • PART THREE: A Real Connection
    7. Bible: We Can Hear God’s Voice 
    8. Prayer: We Can Seek God’s Help
    9. Communion: We Can Know God’s Love
  • PART FOUR: A Compelling Lifestyle
    10. Money: Jesus Enables Us to Lead a Contented Life 
    11. Sex: Jesus Enables Us to Lead a Full Life 
    12. Witness: Jesus Enables Us to Lead an Attractive Life

Groups for the fall semester will be created the first week of August and will run through November. Your group leader will notify you that week to coordinate your first meeting.
