*Children's Ministry looks different than normal during this time of COVID. Below are descriptions of how our Children's Ministry normally looks. For details on how Children's Ministry looks during this time of COVID, contact our Children's Ministry Director, Keisha Culbreth.
Grace Community Kids is our ministry to children ages infant through 5th grade. Our 3rd-5th grade children participate in corporate worship with the congregation before being dismissed to their Children's Church classes each Sunday. Our K-2nd grade children participate in worship through music and prayer in their separate large group classroom. Modeling family worship is important to us at Grace. We want our children to be able to participate in all elements of worship (singing, prayer, and giving offering) each week and see this modeled by their parents and other adults around them. Our elementary children participate in corporate worship with the congregation before being dismissed to their Children's Church classes each Sunday.
Infant & Toddler Ministry
Our Infant & Toddler Ministry serves children from birth through 35 months old. Our nurseries are divided into 0-12 months, 12-24 months, and 24-36 months for care. We treasure our youngest members and want to show them the love of Jesus!
Our Preschool Ministry serves our 3 and 4-year-old children. Our preschoolers enjoy this class until they begin attending kindergarten. Our three-year-olds study God's Word through the Heartshaper Curriculum, which introduces them to a Bible story through a game or hands-on activity, learn the Bible story through story-telling and active participation, and then apply the Bible story to their lives by making a craft and playing a game. Our four & five-year-old class uses The Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum where they see Jesus at the center of God's one big Story, the Bible. Every story whispers His name! Our teachers are excited to be Jesus to these young ones and model for them how to love others!
Our Elementary Ministry serves our school-age K-5th grade students. These students interact with the Bible using The Gospel Project curriculum in both a small group (K-2 and 3-5) format and large group format each Sunday. Small group time is focused on building relationships with the kids and introducing the week's Bible concept in a smaller group of kids. Large group time follows where all ages come together to see a Bible story video and a Discussion Starter video that helps them apply the lesson to their daily lives. They finish with small group time where they review & discuss the Bible story & play a game or do a hands-on activity to apply the concept they learned. Every Sunday, they hear a Christ Connection which connects every Old and New Testament Bible Story to God's BIG Story plan to send His Son, Jesus, to redeem us from sin.
