Pastor for Creative Arts
David has been in ministry for over 14 years, and a member of GCC for 20 years. He graduated from Campbell University in '03 (BA) and '06 (MA), and earned a PhD in Theology and Worship from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary ('18). He is a songwriter and worship leader wherever God gives him an opportunity, frequently serving in youth, college, and adult contexts as guest worship leader or speaker.
David currently lives in Angier with his wife Sarah Jean, and children Judah, Clara Jean, Jesse, and Rosie. David is a self-professed coffee snob and an unapologetic nerd - whether it be theology, music, comics, or Star Wars.
Children's Ministry Director
Before serving in part-time ministry, Keisha was a teacher by profession. She taught third and fourth graders in public school for four years and has two years of experience as a teacher of three-year-olds and transitional kindergarten in preschool programs. Keisha wanted to teach since she was a first-grader. She continues to be thrilled to see just how much children can grasp, even at young ages, about God and His Word. Keisha began overseeing the Children’s Church program here as a volunteer in 2004. She came on as part-time staff in January 2008. She is very excited to minister to children and serves alongside many other adults who enjoy teaching children about Jesus' love for them!
Keisha and her husband, Scott, were married in 1996 and moved to make their home in Fuquay-Varina in 1997. They became members of Grace Community Church in 2001. Scott shares a love for teaching and shepherding this church body as an elder at Grace. They have three beautiful children-- Kaitlyn ('01), Greyson ('04) and Landon ('06). Keisha wants her children, as well as all children here at Grace, to grow up knowing that God has a perfect plan for their lives. There is no better hope and nothing brings her more joy!
Pastor for Assimilation and Student Ministry
Jeff graduated with a degree in Marketing Management and worked in sales and marketing in Upstate New York prior to sensing God's call on his life to pursue full-time pastoral ministry. He received an M.A. in Pastoral Theology from Bob Jones Seminary and spent the next 14 years in church planting in Queensbury, New York, and Asheville, North Carolina. He and his wife, Leyanah, have two sons and two daughters (Will, Emma, Grant, and Kate). Jeff joined the staff at Grace Community Church in July of 2019. His desire is to influence the hearts and minds of our students to savor Christ and to prepare them for the work He has called them to do.
Jeff loves spending time with people and coffee, dreaming up the next big thing, and talking theology. When at home, if he’s not playing ping pong with his kids or kicking the soccer ball, he’s usually looking for his keys or wallet or the next bowl of ice cream. Leyanah is a busy homeschool mom, who finds great joy in faithfully serving her family and her church in music and organization.
Pastor for Discipleship and Care
Born and raised in Alabama, Ricky landed in the mountains of North Carolina where he served as Assistant Director for TVR Christian Camp and Retreat Center. TVR is where he met his lovely wife, April. They were married in 2005 and have five kids. After he and April served 10 years at TVR, the Lord led them to Grace in 2014 for Ricky to serve as Youth Pastor and Administrator. In 2019, he took on the role of Pastor for Discipleship and Care, retaining church administration duties. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute (B.S.) and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.).
Ricky loves spending time with family. His home is normally very loud, where you'll typically find a baseball or football in the air, and will almost always hear either Christmas music or an Atlanta Braves game streaming. He enjoys a good pizza, rooting for the Crimson Tide, and trying to convince his wife to like old country music.
Sam began working at GCC in January of 2019. He serves in the church office managing the finances and carrying out other administrative tasks. He is a member of Anthem Church in Angier and owns and teaches at Shelton Martial Arts. After studying accounting at Guilford College (BAS), Sam studied theology and Christian counseling at the Houston Graduate School of Theology (MA). Sam not only loves the Lord and enjoys finances, but he has earned the title of Grandmaster and has a 7th-degree black belt in both Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan and Richard Chun Tae Kwon Do.
